Terms of Use
These Terms govern access to and use of The R&B Index. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. The service
The R&B Index is a curated discovery platform operated by Soul Era Records. It presents artist profiles, locations, roles, genres, releases, and links to third-party services. We may add, remove, edit, suspend, or discontinue features or content at any time.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the site. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use it only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the site for lawful discovery, research, support, and professional connection. You may not scrape or copy the database at scale; bypass access controls; probe or disrupt the site; submit malware, deceptive information, or impersonations; harass artists; misuse contact information; or use the Index in a way that violates law or another person’s rights.
4. Artist and release information
We curate information from submissions, artists, representatives, public sources, and music services. We work to keep it accurate, but we do not guarantee that every profile, location, release, link, availability statement, or other detail is complete or current. Verification indicates that we reviewed specified profile information; it is not an endorsement or guarantee of identity, conduct, quality, availability, or suitability.
5. Third-party links and services
The site links to third-party platforms, including social networks and streaming services. Their terms and privacy policies govern your use of those services. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, transactions, security, or practices.
6. Bookings and commercial relationships
Unless a page expressly states that Soul Era is facilitating a transaction, communications, bookings, collaborations, purchases, and other arrangements made through external links or contact information are solely between the participating parties. The Index does not guarantee payment, performance, safety, attendance, rights clearance, or fulfillment.
7. Intellectual property
The Index’s design, organization, original text, branding, software, and compilation are owned by Soul Era or its licensors and may not be reproduced or commercially exploited without permission. Artist names, images, music, cover art, platform marks, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners and are used under permission, license, or other applicable basis.
8. Copyright and other concerns
If you believe content infringes your copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights, email info@soulerarecords.com with the affected material, its URL, your contact information, the basis for your request, and evidence that you are the rights holder or authorized representative.
9. Disclaimers
The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Soul Era disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and accuracy. Discovery rankings, recommendations, and search results are informational and editorial, not professional advice.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Soul Era and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, reputational harm, or disputes arising from third-party platforms or user relationships. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the free site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars.
11. Suspension and termination
We may restrict access, remove content, reject submissions, or suspend use when reasonably necessary to protect artists, visitors, the service, or third parties; address suspected abuse; or comply with law.
12. Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be brought in a court with jurisdiction where Soul Era is located, unless applicable law requires otherwise. We may update these Terms, and continued use after publication constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
